Statement made on behalf of the Security Council at its 3674th meeting, 14 June 1996, in connection with prior consultations held among Council members on the item entitled "The situation between Iraq and Kuwait". Concerns non-compliance by Iraq with resolution 1060 (1996) and demands that Iraq allow the Special Commission inspection teams immediate, unconditional and unrestricted access to all areas, facilities, equipment, records and means of transportation which they wish to inspect.
