Transmits letter from the Secretary-General of the OAU suggesting to hold a consultation between UN, OAU and the countries of the region on the crisis in Burundi. Transmits also statement by OAU, 25 July 1996, in which the international community is requested to be prepared for sanctions against the regime and for humanitarian intervention in Burundi.
