Abstract
Transmits, in the capacity of Coordinator of the Troika of Observer States to the Angolan Peace Process, a press statement issued at New York, 15 Sept. 2000; reiterates its commitment to the principles of the Lusaka Protocol and the Peace Agreements and discusses the need to strengthen the existing UN sanctions regime against the União Nacional para a Independência Total de Angola (UNITA) and the importance of the full cooperation of Member States with the Security Council in its implementation.
