Refers to letter (S/2001/8), refutes any official Government involvement in the illegal trade of Sierra Leone conflict diamonds and sets out its concerns regarding the report of the Panel of Experts on Sierra Leone Diamonds and Arms (S/2000/1195); requests the Security Council to suspend its consideration of the report until a delegation of the Panel visits the Gambia and addresses its concerns.
