Transmits letter dated 26 Feb. 2001 from Guinea which includes communiqué issued following the visit to the country of a UN mission of experts on 1-3 Oct. 2000 to gather information on the diamond-export circuit; states that Guinea is against the marketing of conflict diamonds to finance rebellions in Africa and has decided to implement internal measures in this regard.
