Information received concerning the fact that the joint stock companies Belaruskali, a state-owned enterprise in the Republic of Belarus which mines potash, and Belarus Potash Company (BPC), a state-owned enterprise that markets and exports the potash, have been listed under U.S. sanctions on the basis of Executive Order 14038 of 9 August 2021, resulting in the blocking of their assets and transactions over which the United States of America claims jurisdiction; and that these listings are separately and jointly having a detrimental effect on human rights internationally, particularly the right to adequate food but also other rights that are associated with it.
