Résumé

Currently, the range of unilateral coercive measures used by states without the approval of the UN Security Council is significantly expanding, not only affecting the rights of a wide range of people, but also creating obstacles to the achievement of sustainable development goals agreed upon by the world community for the period until 2030. This article provides an overview of the humanitarian impact of unilateral coercive measures on the achievement of a number of sustainable development goals, qualifying relevant actions in the context of international human rights treaties. At present, the range of unilateral coercive measures applied by states without authorization of the UN Security Council is constantly expanding. It not only affects the rights of a significant number of persons, but also impedes the achievement of sustainable development goals agreed upon by the international community for the period up to 2030. The article provides an overview of the humanitarian impact of unilateral coercive measures on the achievement of some of SDGs, presents legal qualification of relevant actions in the context of the international human rights treaties.
