Transmits letter from the President of Liberia concerning the implementation of Security Council resolution 1343 (2001); states that Liberia will address adequately the concerns of the Security Council and provides a list of measures already taken; requests the Council to establish a verification mechanism to report on Liberia's compliance and to deploy observers at entry points and UN Mission in Sierra Leone troops at the border with Sierra Leone; further requests the Council to provide technical assistance to establish a diamond certification regime and to engage Economic Community of West African States in the peace process.
