Abstract
The article deals with the Decision of The District of Columbia Court of Appeals on the refusal to satisfy petition for the lifting of sanctions. In the light of current imposition sanctions against Russia by Western countries after February 22 2022, particularly interesting is the Decision of The District of Columbia Court of Appeals on the refusal to satisfy petition for the lifting of sanctions were filed by Oleg Deripaska on 29 March 2022. This Decision answered the question of possibilities for a Russian businessman or his company to get an exemption from sanctions by legitimate grounds, as well as of details are greater emphasis in process of lifting sanctions through an American court.
